Toshiba CEVO TVs to appear this summer

Toshiba's first CEVO Engine powered LED TVs will debut in July.

The powerful dual-processor CEVO Engine system drives a suite of new features.

Toshiba's 3D Resolution+ and Net Resolution+ technologies are capable of converting and upscaling SD sources to Full HD and stereoscopic 3D for viewing with active shutter 3D glasses.

Designed by Jacob Jensen the first CEVO Engine TVs are the WL and YL REGZA series of sets utilise Toshiba's 32 edge lit 32 PRO-LED panel offering improved image quality and intelligent local dimming control.  A USB-connecting screen -attachable sensor (costing around £260) will be made available to enable auto-calibration without needing a PC.

Each comes with Freeview HD tuners,  PVR via USB recording and Toshiba Places,  the manufacturer's cloud-based connected TV system that includes iPlayer, Flickr, an app store and DLNA multimedia streaming.

Pricing has yet to be announced.
