BBC to show Wimbledon finals in 3D

The BBC is to make its first public 3D broadcasts in July when it airs the Wimbledon tennis finals in 3D

Viewers with 3D-enabled Sky, Freesat or Virgin Media receivers and TVs will be able to watch the men's and women's finals in 3D on July 2nd and 3rd.

Public screenings will also be held at BBC Television Centre and in selected UK cinemas. Tickets for the former are available until June 13.

Freesat has said that 'most'  HD receivers should be 3D compatible alongside Panasonic's  VT20B, VT30B and GT30B and Samsung's UE40D8000, UE55D8000 and UE46D8000 Freesat-equipped TVs.
